Thermovent® T2 Heat & Moisture Exchanger (HME)

Adult tracheostomy patients can benefit from humidification using a Heat Moisture Exchanger (HME). It is critical to keep the airway moist because it helps thin secretions so they can be coughed out. Offers effective humidification for individuals who breathe normally but have their upper airways bypassed by a tracheostomy tube. The device can be used for a maximum of 24 hours.

The Thermovent T2 Oxygen Line is a specific designated oxygen tube for use with the Portex­® Thermovent T2.

Specifications:
Comes with moisture output of 25mg 1-1 H2O @ 15 breath/min-1 and 500ml tidal volume, a resistance to flow of 0.7 hPa (cmH2O) at gas flow rate 1.0l/sec-1 (60l/min) [0.7cm H2O 1-1 sec-1] and a dead Space of 11ml with 7.5g weight.
